Bob Spraley Loses Battle with Cancer
Notice to All Judo Friends -
Bob Spraley (Shichidan) Passes
Note from Mark Hunter:
Ohio lost a Great Judo Leader Friday. Hope everyone takes out time to remember Bob Spraley. He ran one of the largest Judo Programs in the Dayton/ Tipp City area. We will miss him. Rest in Peace Bob.
Commentary by Russ Scherer:
This Friday we lost a judo coach, instructor, player, innovator and friend. Bob Spraley lost his battle with cancer after a long fight. I first met Bob at the Kittyhawk Judo Club during the 1970's. He has been an instructor at several judo clubs in the Dayton area including at a minimum: the Darke County YMCA J.C., the Piqua YMCA J.C., the Sinclair College J.C. and the Epizoundes J.C. with John Powell. Bob, a 7th Degree Black Belt in Judo, is also known around the country for his establishment of Juido, a physical training program for adults, which is based on Judo principles.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the Spraley family. Additional information follows:
